Themed Backdrop Frames and Tables in Reading

Lots of our customers now love to host a themed party and therefore, to offer that extra "wow" factor to your party we are now offering themed backdrops and tables. We have many to choose from so far and this list will continue to grow.  All themes are available as packages set out below. Please note that these are only suitable for indoor hires.


Dimensions are as follows:


Backdrop frame: 6.6ft/2m diameter

Large table: 6ft/180cm

Pedestal tables: 

Large - 40cm diameter x 90cm height

Medium - 36cm diameter x 75cm height

Small - 33cm diameter x 60cm height

General Information

We have a minimum hire rate of £50 which does not include delivery fees, where applicable. Orders under £100 can only be delivered and collected (although collection may be more flexible at weekends from time to time depending on our schedule) during midweek, Monday to Friday. Alternatively, they can be collected and returned to us in Tilehurst, Reading during any day of the week on prior arrangement with Kids Rule.

Play mats may vary from the images shown. The equipment with each soft play package may also vary slightly from time to time due to upgrade or replacement but this will always be an improvement on our part, not the other way around.

Please note that prices quoted are for up to 5 hours’ equipment hire until no later than 7:00 p.m. in the summer months or 6:00 p.m. in the winter months (October to March inclusive). If extended hours are necessary, reasonable hourly charges can be added. Free delivery applies to the following areas; Calcot, Holybrook, Horncastle, Little Heath, Norcot, Purley, Southcote, and Tilehurst. All other areas will incur a delivery charge. Depending on which equipment you hire, we will require up to 1 hour for set up, and we will give you an approximate time of arrival. Although we always endeavour to arrive promptly, on very rare occasions, due to circumstances beyond our control, we cannot 100% guarantee that we will always arrive at the exact time requested.

We request that the Hirer ensures that all balls are kept in the ball pond throughout the hire period. A £10 refundable holding deposit is required per hire for a ball pond but with prior agreement, Kids Rule will hand the bag for the balls to the Hirer for them to pack the balls away at the end of the party with no deposit necessary.


Please inform us if access to the main area of the function space is not easily accessible, i.e. are there any stairs at all? Is there a lift available? If the function area is not on the ground floor, is there a long corridor or pathway longer than approximately 10 metres? Or do we have to carry equipment through a house to a rear garden? Some of these situations may require an additional charge and extra delivery time, so please confirm this at the time of booking for us to be properly prepared. If this is not confirmed, the driver is permitted to use his/her discretion if he/she feels an extra charge is payable on the day.
